Chongqing made a large scale of shale gas industrial plan in recent days. The plan said to realize the large scale of shale gas exploration and related to deep refining in the next 5-10 years and grow to a market with the market volume of CNY 400 billion, which include the shale gas exploration, shale gas chemicals. Chongqing is the first province in China to have such a ambitious goal.

As for the deep refining of shale gas, it will attract around 150 billion's investments. Generally speaking, 1 cbm natural gas (shale gas) can be used to prepare the chemicals of around CNY 20. Therefore, 5 billion cbm shale gas can be directly used to prepare the chemicals of around CNY 100 billion. If plus the midstream and downstream products, the shale gas market in Chongqing will be roughly estimated to be around CNY 400 billion.

Chongqing is a major city in China with the mature equipment manufacturing industry and can produce different equipments or tools in the shale gas exploration, for example fracturing injection pump, pressure mix pump, sand mix car etc. Chongqing want to sell the equipments to the explorers for the China shale gas boom is in the near future.
