OREANDA-NEWS. October 08, 2012. The Cabinet approved the draft Law of Ukraine "On Amending Certain Laws of Ukraine on informing the public about the content in food products of genetically modified organisms".

This document is designed to remedy the situation in Ukraine on the labelling of foods which do not contain GMOs.

Passing this bill will resolve the issue of labelling of foods containing or produced from GMOs and foods are not related to genetic engineering, to eliminate superfluous barriers to the development of the food industry’s business entities, to prevent unnecessary costs of entities.
