OREANDA-NEWS. October 5, 2012. An agricultural fair of Zhambyl region is held at the central square in Astana.

“Such fairs from different regions of the republic have became a good tradition and profitable as for entrepreneurs and as for customers of the capital,” Secretary of Astana city Maslikhat Sansyzbay Yesilov said in an interview to journalists at the fair.

“Traditionally, such fairs are organized over the past years. Regions of our country bring its products. The main purpose is not only to sell, in accordance with the agreements between the mayor’s offices of the city and regions, there are profitable conditions for both sides, for those who bring products and for residents of Astana,” Mr. Yesilov said.

According to deputy mayor of Zhambyl region Muratbay Zholdasbayev, entrepreneurs of the region brought products to the amount of 60 million tenge at prices lower by 10% than in the municipal market "Shapagat”.

“Today, 17 trucks brought all kinds of agricultural products. Including, 145 tons of vegetables, about 28 tons of meat, 6 tons of dairy products,” Muratbay Zholdasbayev said.
