OREANDA-NEWS. October 05, 2012. Herman Gref, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board, Sberbank of Russia, commented Sberbank's acquisition of Turkish DenizBank, reported the press-centre of Sberbank.

"This deal represents a highly attractive purchase of previously inaccessible high quality Turkish banking asset with a large-scale business and justified valuation, said Herman Gref. – We are sure that, as part of Sberbank Group, DenizBank will be able to continue strengthening its positions in Turkish market and successfully implement synergies resulting from rapidly growing trade and tourism ties with Russia as well as investment flows of two countries. The bank will able to assist Russian companies and tourists in Turkey, as well as contribute to further strengthening of cooperation between Russian and Turkish companies."
