OREANDA-NEWS. October 4, 2012. The race will pass on the territory of Spain, Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal from 27 December 2012 to 9 January 2013. It will become a serious challenge for two crews of young KAMAZ racers Anton Shibalovn and Dmitry Sotnikov.

According to Sport Director of KAMAZ-master Vladimir Chagin, Vasily Kvachev, ex-racing driver and navigator, and now head of technical service of the team, will become a coach of the guys in Africa. Meanwhile, Vladimir Chagin will go to South America to participate in Dakar with the main part of the team.

The KAMAZ-master racers will drive time-tested KAMAZ-4326 serial trucks at Africa Race. The construction of these vehicles is annually modified and improved.

Vladimir Chagin also said that the team hadn’t stop using TMZ engines made in Russia despite engine problems at Dakar’2011. The design department of the KAMAZ-master team managed to get the best power characteristics out of these V-shaped diesel 8-cylinder engines to help young pilots of KAMAZ-master win Africa Race.
