Consortium Headed by Stroytransgaz to Build New Arctic Terminal
OREANDA-NEWS. October 4, 2012. PJSC Stroytransgaz has won the tender for the engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up of the Arctic terminal of the year-round oil export from the Novoportovskoe field developed by Gazprom Neft.
Stroytransgaz has won as the leader of the consortium made of major companies that specialize in various types of the coastal shelf works. The company has concluded the relevant cooperation agreement with the exclusive oil carrier in the Arctic Region - Sovcomflot (OAO), Institute “SHELF” Ltd. (Simferopol) that had designed the northern terminal Varandey, and Van Oord Offshore b.v. (the Netherlands) that had performed dredging and underwater technical operations when constructing the Blue Stream and Nord Stream gas pipelines.

When constructing the Arctic terminal, Stroytransgaz will be able to fully apply its vast experience accumulated for over twenty years of work in severe conditions of the country’s northern regions. The company was a pioneer in development of many fields in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.
By constructing the Arctic terminal for the Novoportovskoe field, Stroytransgaz will continue its successful cooperation with Gazprom Neft. Since 2006, for this Client the company has developed Vyngapur, Zapadno-Ozernoe, and Priobskoe fields, and constructed “Booster Pump Station -2 of the Sugmutskoe field - Muravlenkovsky Gas Treatment Plant” trunk gas pipeline in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.
