OREANDA-NEWS. October 4, 2012. The key work of the current year for TITAN-2 to perform at this facility was participation in startup works for the equipment of the second power unit gas turbines.

The scheduled maintenance works at the plant are the key event in the course of its preparation for work during the coming autumn and winter seasons. The overhaul of unit No. 2 started at the North-west CHP in this July is going to be completed soon. In the course of this work the hot parts of gas turbines (GTU) were inspected. The work included disassembly of turbines, replacement of row 1 and 2 in the set of GT vanes and buckets, elimination of the possible defects, as well as testing control and protection systems.

The specialists from Sosnovoborelektromontazh, JSC, a member of TITAN-2 Holding, actively participate in setting up the equipment of ПEГ 21 and 22. The equipment to be set up and tested includes instrumentation and controls of all the key gas turbine units and systems. Set up works are supposed to be completed in October and include the following:

• Setting up and testing certain elements and units in compliance with the technical regulations and specifications;

• Ensuring interrelated work of certain units as per the design;

• Checking compliance of equipment parameters with the manufacturer's data and design documentation at different loads and work modes;

• Control whether parameters of field-level instrumentation and controls (including intermediate signal convertors prior to hardware and software system) and those of computerized process control system software and hardware complex are compliant with what was recommended in the comments and observations;

• Other accompanying works;

Along with that, within the frameworks of the scheduled overhaul of the North-West CHP, the specialists of the electrical installation organization are carrying out the scheduled preventive maintenance of the instrumentation and control means, the control circuits of gate valve electric drives, as well as repair the channels of process parameter measurement at the key and auxiliary equipment of the plant.

The works being carried out will ensure the reliable operation of the plant's electric equipment, and generation of power and heat energy in accordance with the production program.
