OREANDA-NEWS. October 4, 2012. Germany’s certifying body TUV Thuringen e.V. has confirmed that the safety management system operated by Tenex for the nuclear fuel supply chain is compliant with the international standard ISO 28000:2007. The Company has been issued a certificate valid until 2014.

Tenex has become the first company in Russia’s nuclear industry to receive a certificate of compliance for a safety management system covering the nuclear fuel supply chain. The Company has embarked on a move to apply the requirements of international ISO quality standards across its activities. As of today, Tenex is certified under three ISO standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 28000.

“The introduction of the ISO 28000 standard is a testimony to the seriousness of Tenex’s intentions to attain its strategic goals as the company appointed by State Corporation ROSATOM to promote products of the Russian separation/sublimation sector on the international market,” says Tenex’s General Director, Alexey Grigoriev, adding, “The fact that Tenex has been certified compliant with the ISO 28000 standard demonstrates to foreign customers a high level of our responsibility in ensuring the quality, reliability, and safety of the services we provide.” Tenex’s chief executive elaborates, “The ISO 28000:2007 standard sets out requirements for safety management at each stage of the logistics chain in the performance of our contractual obligations”.
