OREANDA-NEWS. October 4, 2012. Gazpromneft-Aero has for the first time refuelled an aircraft in the United States of America, at Tucson International Airport, Arizona, USA, for Volga-Dnepr Airlines .

Gazpromneft-Aero's refuelling partner in North America was the international fuel service company, Associated Energy Group (AEG). Working with AEG enables Gazpromneft-Aero to create an efficient international jet fuel supply considering regional specificity.

The long-term co-operation agreement between the two parties states that jet fuel will be supplied between Gazpromneft-Aero and Volga-Dnepr Airlines, as well as fuelling the carrier's aircraft at other US airports.

"The United States is currently the global leader in air transportation, with over 15,000 airports. Entering the American market is an important step towards strengthening Gazpromneft-Aero's international position, enabling us to expand the network of airports available to our customers," commented Vladimir Yegorov, CEO of Gazpromneft-Aero.

Gazpromneft-Aero's geographic footprint now includes 85 airports around the world. The company plans to continue expanding its international airport network, which will enable it to provide air carriers with timely refuelling and an advantageous jet fuel pricing system.
