OREANDA-NEWS. October 4, 2012. The Munich-based Railpool GmbH is expanding its management team. The two shareholders of the company, HSH Nordbank and KfW IPEX-Bank, have newly appointed the 45-year-old Wilhelm Wellner to the management team as at 1 October 2012. Wellner, who first worked for Commerzbank AG, then for Siemens Financial Services and later for Deutsche Lufthansa AG, was most recently the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of ECE Projektmanagement GmbH & Co.KG, one of the leading European real estate companies.

Wilhelm Wellner will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) within the management of Railpool. Dr Walter Breinl will remain Chief Executive Officer (CEO), a position he has held since the company was founded in 2008.

Railpool GmbH is a joint venture by KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH and HSH Nordbank AG which leases rail vehicles, locomotives, electrical multiple units (EMU) and diesel multiple units (DMU) to railway operators with and without full service.
