OREANDA-NEWS. October 3, 2012. On the initiative of Sergey Chemezov, General Director of State Corporation “Russian Technologies”, KAMAZ will hold a conference for managers of companies of the corporation in Naberezhnye Chelny (Tatarstan) from 20 to 21 September. During the conference, KAMAZ will share its experience of implementation of lean production principles and creation of the Production System KAMAZ.

The main point of lean production principles which are the basis for the Production System KAMAZ consists in the rational use of available resources, elimination of all losses, intensification of labor and employees’ responsibility, as well as permanent and systematic improvement of quality and procedures at factories and in offices. Thanks to the introduced principles, the company got RUB 19 billion of economic effect for its development and modernization.

The conference will be attended by about 250 people representing over 150 organizations of the State Corporation “Russian Technologies”. During two days, KAMAZ employees and foreign lean manufacturing experts will organize workshops in production departments of the enterprise. It is planned to visit the automobile, press and stamping, forge and engine plant which achieved the greatest results in the implementation of lean technologies.

Sergey Kogogin, General Director of KAMAZ, said, "The introduction of lean manufacturing principles is an indispensable condition for sustainable development of the company in the global competitive environment. Lean technologies help organize production according to modern standards. For example, without additional investment we managed to almost quadruple productivity at the main assembly conveyor."
