Ingosstrakh Paid RUR18.4mln for Burnt BelAZ to Zhirekensky GOK
OREANDA-NEWS. October 3, 2012. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has paid 18.4 m Rubles to Zhirekensky Mining Plant OJSC located in Zhireken urban settlement of Chernyshevsky Region, Zabaykalie Territory, in connection with BelAZ truck burning.
On June 6, 2012, in the process of conducting open works in the mine of the mining plant, a BelAZ truck overturned and started burning. In the course of loss consideration, the vehicle was considered unfit for further operation.
The case was acknowledged as insurance case, and Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid an insurance indemnity in accordance with the agreement conditions.
Zhirekensky GOK OJSC is a mining plant that engages in copper ore extraction and enrichment. The company is a member of SMR, Russia’s largest ferromolybdenum manufacturer by production capacity. SMR is a member of En+ Group – a Russian diversified company, which serves as a basis for unification of enterprises engaging in extraction of energy natural resources, production of electrical energy and ferrous metals. The production activity of En+ Group consists in extraction and processing of molybdenum ore and production of ferromolybdenum on the basis of a full production cycle. At present, the company produces ferromolybdenum, as well as copper concentrate which is a by-product of ferromolybdenum technological production process.
