OREANDA-NEWS. October 3, 2012. The 18th International Trade Fair For Tourism Otdykh/LEISURE 2012 which, as a tradition, every year anticipates the autumn and winter tourist season took place in Moscow.

Within four days the uniform information stand of our region organized at the support of the Ministry of the RK of Youth Affairs, Physical Training, Sports and Tourism offered guests and participants of the exhibition various information on tourist prospects of Karelia, as well as on leisure and holidays in our republic.

Among participants of one of the leading international tourist forums in Russia there were more than 1200 companies from 60 countries representing diversified spheres of tourism.

The exhibition included a rather eventful business program. On the first day of work of the forum Federal Tourism Agency has organized a working meeting with representatives of information tourist centers of Russia where establishing of the association of tourist centers and strategy of their development were discussed. After that there took place a round table discussion devoted to inter-regional tourist cooperation and new regional transport routes and projects.

Besides, representatives of the Information Tourist Center of the Republic of Karelia took part in consideration of issues of development of touring by car in Karelia.
