OREANDA-NEWS. October 2, 2012. It is planned to built about 50 thousand of apartments in the framework of the State program “Affordable housing 2020” in Astana, First Deputy Mayor of the Astana Sergey Horoshun said at the 9th ordinary session of Maslikhat of the city.

“Totally, on the assumption of planned volume of the State financing, predicted introduction of housing in Astana till 2020 will amount 2.504 million square meters or 49 626 apartments,” he said in his report “On the condition and development perspectives of housing construction in the capital”.

According to him, developing this document, an experience of previous programs was taken in consideration. An implementation of the new program will be held in 9 directions, which will let to provide an annual input of 1.5 million square meters of housing at the expense of all sources, including 300 thousand square meters at the expense of budget funds.

Funding in the amount of 364.2 billion tenge is provided on these purposes at the expenses of the state budget. 261.7 billion tenge will be directed on housing construction, including 45.7 billion tenge through the system of housing construction savings, 48.5 billion tenge-on rental housing and young families, 121 billion tenge through JSC “Real Estate Fund Samruk - Kazyna" and 46.5 billion tenge - through JSC "KMC". Another 62.5 billion tenge is aimed on the development of engineer infrastructure and 40 billion tenge on the demolition program of emergency and dilapidated housing.”

The main volume of housing construction will be provided in the commercial market and individual housing construction, in this connection engineering and communication infrastructure in the areas of perspective housing construction will be developed.

Sergey Horoshun said that the Mayor’s office of Astana developed proposals for the construction of housing and engineering infrastructure by 2020, for its construction about 300 hectares of urban territories were designated and reserved.

He also said that a pilot project “Regeneration of the urban environment of Astana" was included to the program “Affordable housing 2020”. It provides the demolition of more than 200 thousand square meters of emergency and dilapidated housing and the construction of 608 000 square meters of new housing in the period until 2020.

“The implementation of measures on the development of the construction sector and the program “Affordable housing 2020” will let to keep volumes of introduced housing in the capital at a high level until 2020,” he said.
