OREANDA-NEWS.  October 02, 2012. The third scientific and practical conference "Status and further development of basic principles for the development of oil fields," dedicated to the memory and scientific heritage of Nickolay Lisovskiy, an outstanding geologist, organizer of the oil industry in the USSR and Russia, was held in Almetyevsk (Republic of Tatarstan), reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Federal Agency for Subsoil Use (Rosnedra) and Central Commission on harmonization of technical projects for development of raw hydrocarbon deposits, was arranged at the premises of the "Yunost" health improvement camp of TATNEFT.

The forum was attended by Alexander Popov, Head of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use, Ravil Mutygullin, Head of the Subsoil Use Department in the Republic of Tatarstan, leading experts and scientists of Russia in the field of geology and development of oil fields, as well as representatives of the oil and gas business, including major oil companies of the country.

Ravil Mutygullin, Head of "Tatnedra" Agency, relayed greetings from Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, to the conference participants. The address of the republican leader to the audience pointed out the huge contribution of Nicholay Lisovskiy to the development of the geology and oil industry. In the difficult for the country years of market reforms and changing social structures, he, acting as the head of the Central Commission for development of oil and gas fields, managed to organize the Commission's successful efforts to implement an effective policy of oil fields development, including the unique Romashkinskoye oil field in Tatarstan.

The Forum became a platform which had gathered the representatives of almost all leading oil business companies in the country to exchange experiences and discuss topics relating to the basic principles of oil fields development, application of technologies for enhanced oil recovery and other pressing issues of crude oil production. The extensive program of the event included numerous presentations of scientists and leading professionals of the Russian oil companies. The conference participants presented the assembled audience reports on the experience of modern efficient technologies implementation for development of crude oil fields, as well as the results of scientific research and experimental works on the mentioned subjects.

Rais Khisamov, Chief Geologist of TATNEFT presented a report on the experience of creating and implementing innovative technologies at the fields of the late stage of development. Ravil Ibatullin, Director of TatNIPIneft, addressed in his report the subject of the Company's intellectual property and the issues of its application in the development of TATNEFT's deposits, while Azat Zaripov, Deputy Chief of the Oil Fields Development Department and Head of the Laboratory of TatNIPIneft, spoke about the prospects of heavy oil and bitumen fields' development in Tatarstan.

Within the scope of the conference the participants visited the production facilities of the Company, including Ashalchinskoye heavy oil field.
