OREANDA-NEWS.  October 01, 2012. Belarus hosted the fifth meeting of heads of Sberbank's foreign network, which summed up the activities of foreign banks and representative offices in January - August 2012 and outlined the main objectives for 2013, reported the press-centre of Sberbank.

The meeting was chaired by Herman Gref, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board, Sberbank of Russia. The event was also attended by Sergey Gorkov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Sberbank of Russia, heads of subsidiaries and foreign representative offices, as well as structural units of Sberbank's Headquarters.

The meeting discussed the results of foreign banks and representative offices of Sberbank, ways of improving the performance of operational units of Sberbank Group, prospects for developing outsourcing in the IT block based on the example of its BPS-Sberbank subsidiary (Belarus), as well as the prospects for developing the foreign business of the Group as part of preparing the strategy for development of the foreign network until 2019.

Summing up the results of the meeting, Herman Gref, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board, Sberbank of Russia, said: "This year, Sberbank has substantially expanded its international presence and now it does business in 20 countries. The foreign network of Sberbank is represented in Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Austria, Switzerland and other countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Germany, India and China. In the near future, we will concentrate our efforts on further integration of international assets and building a modern, high-performance and flexible model for the management of the Group."

The meeting was attended by more than 30 heads of Sberbank Group. Today, Sberbank Group includes BPS Sberbank OJSC (Belarus), Sberbank of Russia JSC (Ukraine), Subsidiary Bank Sberbank JSC (Kazakhstan), Volksbank International (Austria), Branch of Sberbank of Russia OJSC in India, as well as representative offices in Germany and China.
