OREANDA-NEWS. September 28, 2012. KAMAZ was named a winner in Tatarstan’s annual competition "ECOleader" among companies which are of great importance to Russia.

The winner’s diploma was given to Alexander Zhdanov, chief engineer at KAMAZ, by Ildar Khalikov, Tatarstan’s Prime Minister, who said, "Companies, which have become leaders this year, pay attention to environmental issues not because of legal obligations, but because of their civic stand."

Another award was given to Uel Khusainov, General Director of ZAO Chelnyvodokanal. The enterprise was awarded in the nomination “Effective environmental program” for its achievements. OJSC KAMAZ has been taking part in this competition established in 2004 since 2006, and all these years it has become a winner of this contest many times.
