As part of the continued effort to strengthen the market leadership of Sberbank CIB, Robert Hagon has been appointed Co-Head of Equity Sales Trading, Managing Director. Mr Hagon has joined the company in its London office. He reports to Paolo Zaniboni, CEO of UK office, Managing Director, and Olga Klimova, Global Head of Equity Sales, Managing Director, and works together with James Bevan, Co-Head of Equity Sales Trading. Mr Hagon will be integral to the positioning of the company’s sales trading platform, ensuring it provides the highest level of service to clients while also capitalising on opportunities in the emerging markets.

Robert Hagon has over 25 years of equity sales trading experience; the last position he held was Head of the London-based Emerging Market Sales Trading team at Renaissance Capital. During his ten years at Renaissance Capital Robert focussed on Russia and Sub-Saharan African equity markets, driving the team’s business strategy and also covering a number of large institutional accounts. Prior to joining Renaissance Capital Robert worked on the Emerging Market Equity Sales Trading team at UBS.
