Gazprom Neft Motor Racing Filling Station Opens on Racing Weekend Eve
OREANDA-NEWS. September 27, 2012. The first motor racing filling station under Gazpromneft brand was opened as part of the G-Drive Racing project held by Gazprom Neft designed to promote the premium line of its G-Drive motor fuels and G-Energy oils. The new facility is located 95 km west of Moscow, on the Novorizhskoe Motorway, next to the Moscow Raceway entrance, marked by a new stage of the international circuit racing championship World Series by Renault 3.5 .
The station features a cafe and a convenience store. Drivers will be offered additional services: tire inflation and window washing. The facility has free Wi-Fi. The shopping area offers a special treat for racing fans: a Formula 1 race car simulator and a multimedia tower with a screen displaying announcements of sports events.
Gazprom Neft’s Regional Sales Director Alexander Krylov and Nissan Motor Rus’s CEO Francois Goupil de Bouille took part in the station's opening ceremony. Among the guests attending the event was also Roman Rusinov, a pilot from the racing team of G-Drive Racing by Signatech Nissan, which came 4th in the LMP2 endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which is the best ever result achieved by Russian pilots in the most challenging 24-hour marathon.
Motorsports provide the ideal testing and improvement grounds for motor fuels, lubricants and technical fluids. Therefore, the sponsorship project for the international motor racing event implemented by Gazprom Neft contributes to the synergetic effect as part of promoting the company's premium brands: G-Energy motor oil and G-Drive fuel both in the global market and in Russia.
