OREANDA-NEWS. September 27, 2012. The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation registered No.490 Order of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) “On Approving the Administrative Regulations of the Federal Antimonopoly Service on Exercising the State Function for Control over Actions Carried Out with Involvement or with Regard to Holders of Natural Monopolies, the Result of Which Can Be Infringing the Interests of the Consumers of Regulated Goods, or Curbing an Economically Justified Transition of a Relevant Market from the State of Natural Monopoly to the State of Competition” of 20th July 2012 (registered by the Ministry of Justice on 18th September 2012 – Registration Number 25487), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

“Adopting the Administrative Regulations is aimed to regularize the administrative procedures to control actions exercised with involvement or regarding holders of natural monopolies. At the same time if FAS legislative initiatives towards improving the law on natural monopolies are supported, this function will be eliminated as duplicating the procedure for control over transactions under the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, pointed out Deputy Head of FAS Anatoly Golomolzin.

The Administrative Regulations comes into force on the date of its official publication, of which FAS will report additionally.
