OREANDA-NEWS. September 26, 2012. Recently, Baosteel CEO Mr. Xu Lejiang went to Ba Yi Iron & Steel for investigation. After the field trip on Ba Yi Iron & Steel and its Nanjiang Iron & Steel Base, as well as Xing Jiang Yi Li Steel Co., Ltd, Mr Xu Lejiang motivated the general cadres and employees: “Make persistent effort through thick and thin, contribute intelligence to the development of Baosteel and the regional economics, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

In the afternoon of Sep. 4th, Mr. Xu Lejiang’s party went to the work site of Ba Yi Iron & Steel for field trip. At first, Mr. Xu Lejiang went to see the round coal storage which has been in operation and enquired its investment construction and operational conditions. In the 150t steelmaking converter plant, Mr. Xu Lejiang went into the control room and visited the off-duty steelmaking operators. Mr. Xu enquired them about the feeling in new working environment and problems met in operation particularly. And he also learnt the operational conditions of the 150t steelmaking converter equipment.

September 5th, Xu Lejiang’s party went to Ba Yi Iron & Steel Nanjiang Baicheng iron and steel base for field trips, and Xu Lejiang had a conversation with Huang Sanping--- District Committee Secretary of Aksu at Aksu Hotel that noon. Both sides communicated and reached an agreement on the procurement, transportation of material and the developing plan after 81 steel Nanjiang iron and steel base put into operation.

In the afternoon, Mr. Xu Lejiang’s party went to the work site of Nanjiang Iron & Steel Base, enquiring particularly on situations as construction progress, equipment installation & testing and etc. of several main projects such as sintering comprehensive yard, iron making, steelmaking, steel rolling and so on. After visiting the work site and listening to the report about project operational conditions and production preparations, Mr. Xu thanked all the managers and technical staff who attend the project that they have fully used intelligence and efforts and made great contribution to Nanjiang Iron & Steel industry under hostile environment. He said, the construction of Nanjiang Iron & Steel base has importance in promoting regional economics and conversing Baosteel resource advantages, at the same time, it also has practical meaning that Baosteel can gain Asian market share. He required all the members to firmly establish the concept of secure and stable development and put the operational security and quality of closeout phase on even important place, strengthening the training work of projects in operation, planning material supply, equipment operation, marketing & sales in advance and well summarizing the experience of cross-regional construction of huge steel plants.

In the afternoon of Sept. 6th, Xu Lejiang’ party went to Yili Steel for investigate and survey. Xu Lejiang went deep into the production field of steelmaking and steel rolling, learned the detail of the current production and operation and sales status of Yili Steel, he gave credit for the good benefits Yili steel has made under the current grim market situation and gave them some advices for the future. Xu Lejiang encouraged the stuffs and the administrators to catch up the opportunity of Xinjiang’s great-leap-forward development and contribute their intelligence to the enterprise.
