OREANDA-NEWS. September 25, 2012.  President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received a member of the Politburo Standing Committee (PSC) of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Central Political and Legislative Committee of the Communist Party of China Zhou Yongkang who arrived in the Turkmen capital leading a representative delegation of his country.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his guest underlined the high potential of the trading and economic relations and called for widening cooperation in a number of prospective spheres, including the fuel and energy, construction, financial, transport and communications sectors, textile and chemical industries, etc. Particular attention was paid to enhancing humanitarian relations, in particular in the sphere of science, education and culture as well as establishing close contacts between the political parties of the two states.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan Xiao Qinghua attended the meeting.
