ICBC snapped two major awards for Best Performance in Syndicated Loan and Best Deal in Syndicated Loan at the 2011 syndicated loan award program recently hosted by The Syndicated Loan and Trading Committee of China Banking Association. This marks ICBC's third year winning these awards after 2009 and 2010, reported the press-centre of ICBC.  

Five categories of syndicated loan awards (Best Performance, Best Growth, Best Management, Best Deal, and Best Contribution) were presented this year with 15 Best Deal awards, each nominated bank can apply for up to three. By dint of the 2011 outstanding performance in terms of the size of syndicated loans, deal amount and fee income, ICBC edged ahead other banks in China to win "Best Performance in Syndicated Loan " for the third year. The two syndicated loans arranged by the ICBC were selected as the "Best Deal" on account of the loans' good deal structure, large amount, wide market influence, standard text, high economic benefit and social benefit.

ICBC will continue moving forward through innovation in a bid to use syndicated loan to face the challenge of interest rate marketization, build up loan portfolio, diversify and prevent loan concentration risk, said an ICBC executive with the Bank.
