Moldova: WB Enhancing Competitiveness Project to Be Extended
OREANDA-NEWS. September 25, 2012. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), the Economics Ministry and the unity for implementing the World Bank's project on enhancing competitiveness signed amendments to extend the project for one year more.
The director of the CCI department for economy, Sergiu Harea, said the project aims at backing the local companies in terms of implementing the management system of the ISO quality, acquiring the advisory services related to the elaboration of the business plans, feasibility surveys and marketing researches.
In September 2012-June 2013, the economic agents attending the project will benefit from a grant worth 50 per cent of the expenses carried out in the ISO implementation, or in the above-mentioned services. The paid amount will not surpass 130,000 lei (about 10,500 dollars). "During the first meeting, the committee for assessing the project approved the applications by 93 companies", Harea noted.
About 420 enterprises from Moldova, including from the left bank of Dniestre, benefitted from grants within the previous stages of the project.
