OREANDA-NEWS. September 24, 2012. The foundry shop of JSC “Zaporozhstal” for tens of years of effective work has the honored status of one of the best Ukrainian producers of high quality casting for the metallurgical enterprises. The permanent attention is paid to improvement of quality and to maximum satisfaction of customer’s requirements. Thus, the first tests of steel ingot molds produced with application of modifying agent НККМ-5 for cast iron have been completed recently. First nine ingot molds casted with such technic have effectively withstand around 140 fillings instead of usual 120.

Since September, volumes of production at foundry shop of the Works have been considerably increased. JSC “Zaporozhstal” has concluded the contract with Metallurgical Works “Azovstal” of Metinvest Group for delivery of around 2 thousand tons of high-tech castings. 137 ingot molds of С8 type, 92 ingot molds of К13 type and tens units of accompanying product made of cast iron and steel cast will be dispatched to “Azovstal”. The amount of the order makes about 3 million UAH. The order for “Azovstal” will increase the production volumes of foundry shop of the Works in September by 12 % and by the end of December the growth of production of castings will make 60 %.

Today we could additionally load facilities of foundry shop which for long period of time worked only for the Work’s needs. Every month the shop will increase volumes of production. Thus, we will be able to provide castings to all domestic metallurgy. But this is only the beginning. In future we plan to place the product of foundry shop on the markets of East and Western Europe countries, as well as to Russian Federation”.
