OREANDA-NEWS.  September 24, 2012. Ukraine scrupulously examines the activity of economic unions – efficient cooperation with them may be useful for our economy. It was stated by the President at the meeting with media representatives after the Ukrainian-Polish negotiations.

“All processes of economic integration in the world are interesting for us, including the issue of Customs Union, for these countries constitute more than 90% of the CIS trade turnovers,” Viktor Yanukovych said. He also added that Ukraine was interested in cooperation with other unions.

Speaking about the economic cooperation with the CIS and the EU, Viktor Yanukovych also reminded that the elaboration of the Agreement on FTA in the CIS had lasted for years. Next would be the establishment of FTA with the EU provided for by the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
