OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2012. CJSC Transmashholding and company Amsted Rail (USA) signed license agreement in regard to production of freight car bogies as per America partner’s design at the Holding entities. In accordance with the agreement, Transmashholding received access to technology to set up serial production of 18-9836 model Motion Control bogie adapted to Russian conditions. Company Amsted Rail will transfer package of bogie design documents, including all detail design drawings, technical specifications, calculations, illustrative materials for bogie assembly and other documents required for certification procedure. Bogie run between overhauls comprises 500 thousand km with possible increase up to 1 million km. Total of permissible axle load is 25 tf. Maximum operation speed is 120 km/h. Since October 2011, JSC Russian Railways has been carrying out supervised operation of 70 cars with 18-9836 model Motion Control bogies on West-Siberian Railway. The first commission inspection of cars has proved the bogie performance capability and resistance to wear and damages during operation. License agreement validity is 15 years.
