OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2012. A basic repair of the sheet mill – 3000 has been successfully done at the PJSC “Ilyich Iron and Steel Works” inside the group of Metinvest. Investments for the realization of this program put together 30 million grivnas.

During 15 days a sufficient amount of works has been done, including the modernization of the equipment. The specialists from the German firm REX ROTH (partner of the BOSCH concern) were invited, who helped partially to change and modernize assembly units of the hydraulic station of the roughing group of stands.

Besides, servicemen fully reconstructed the transfer track of the finishing group of stands with the help of mobile machines, checked the condition of beds, repaired side trimming shears CKOHa-4, replaced the gears of the main and scrap cut, renewed the control system with consoles №36, 39 and 40. Also a revision has been done, equipment has been repaired. Electrical equipment has been fully repaired in the machine halls. Altogether, approximately 60% of the technological equipment of the mill has been repaired and changed.

“Today a renovated complex of the sheet mill 3000 works without interruption according to the planned performance” underlined the general director of PJSS “Ilyich Iron and Steel Works” Vladimyr Boyko. – The reconstruction of rated capacities of the equipment will allow us to shorten the down-tine and to increase the combinat`s productivity and improve the qualitative performance.
