Russia and Indonesia Sign Protocol on Results of SSJ100 Crash
OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2012. The Protocol signed in the framework of the meeting between the Indonesian National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) and the Russian side held in Indonesia records agreed positions on the investigation results of SSJ100 crash and outlines content for the expected final statement.
At the moment the final statement which is at the stage of finalizing by the Indonesian side is subject to approval by a number of responsible bodies like the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board of US (NTSB) — the USA is a manufacturer of flight data recorders and Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS), French Bureau d’Enquetes et d’Analyses pour la securite de l’aviation civile (BEA) as France is avionics integrator and manufacturer of engines for the aircraft.
The final statement will be forwarded to ICAO and to the interested aviation administrations as well. The final statement is expected to be announced not earlier than late October.
