Mostotrest Will Carry out Stage 2 Upgrade of M-11 Highway Segment
OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2012. Based on the results of an open competitive process Mostotrest has entered into the government contract for Stage 2 upgrade of the km 0 – km 16 segment of M-11 "Narva" Highway in the Leningrad Region (access to the Ust-Luga Port via Kerstovo, Kotly and Koskolovo).
Designed by StroiProject Design Facility, the project has been commissioned by the Federal Public Agency "North-East" Smirnov Federal Highway Directorate" of the Federal Highway Agency.
The total value of the government contract is RUB2.2 billion (including VAT); scheduled completion: 28 months as of the contract date.
In accordance with the contract provisions, Mostotrest will build three overpasses with access roads, between km 0 – km 16 segment. Highway design speed upon completion of the project: 120 km/h.
The project will become an integral part of the Ust-Luga – Veliky Novgorod Highway. Mostotrest's segment stretches from M-11 "Narva" Highway to the Petrodvorets – Keikino Road. According to the project design, the km 0 – km 16 segment will run essentially through unpopulated areas and will at some points run closely parallel to railroad precincts. In the area of the Alekseyevsky Limestone Facility the highway will cross the facility's railroad, then bear left, bypass the community of Kommunar and re-merge with the existing highway.
The segment to be rebuilt will run through the Kingisepp District of the Leningrad Region and will ensure access for cargo arriving into the Ust-Luga Seaport to М-11 "Narva" Federal Highway.
