Belarusian Olivaria Beer Output Reduced 9%/yr in Jan-Aug 2012
OREANDA-NEWS. September 21, 2012. Belarus’ OJSC Olivaria, a brewery based in the city of Minsk, produced 5.45 million decaliters of beer in January-August 2012, a decrease of 9% on the year, a representative in Belgospischeprom concern told.
In August alone the company produced 386,000 decalitres of beer, down 57.7% on the year.
Beer offering in plastic bottles decreased 8.4% to 4.085 million decaliters, in glass bottles decreased 22.3% to 959,000 decaliters, and in kegs increased 6.5% to 264,000 decaliters. Beer offering in cans reached 142,000 decaliters (up three times).
Olivaria beer sales on the domestic market decreased 11.1% on the year in January-August 2012 to 5.557 million decaliters.
The brewery exported 240,800 decaliters of beer in January-August 2012, up 66.2%.
Olivaria was founded in 1864 and transformed into a joint stock company in 1994. Olivaria became part of Carlsberg A/S in May 2008.
