OREANDA-NEWS.  September 20, 2012. CTC Media, Inc. (“CTC Media” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: CTCM), Russia’s leading independent media company, announces the launch of the revamped CTC Channel logo and on-air identity, reported the press-centre of CTC Media.

The new CTC TV season will boast an updated visual format. Beginning from September 15, a completely redesigned logo, clips and splash screens between shows are aired as part of the new season’s motto, “CTC – the power of light”. CTC continues to entertain the whole family in every possible way and is always on the bright side of entertainment!

Viacheslav Murugov, Head of CTC Channel: “We are continuing to develop our Big Entertainment Channel strategy, which will contain both humorous and multi-genre content to entertain our audience in many different ways. CTC is changing internally, which should also be evident visually. Our redesigned logo is a symbol of our renovations. The slogan for our new season is “CTC – the power of light”. We continue to share positive and bright emotions with our viewers, talking about positive human values on the bright side of entertainment. Everyone’s work at CTC is now directed at this, which is reflected in the channel’s updated visual format. Furthermore, the new CTC season will bring light to our viewers’ screens in the literal sense: the splash screens between shows will contain sunrises, lightening and a range of other features associated with warmth and light. The new CTC television season will have a new face and fresh content that is a must see for everyone”.

The previous CTC logo has been used for over 10 years and updated as far as possible. As one of the most dynamic industries, television requires permanent development, therefore a decision was taken in 2012 to develop a new visual style for CTC that not only reflected the entertainment channel concept but also met the modern demands of TV design and style.

Gleb Aleinikov, CTC Channel’s Head of Marketing: “Channels frequently update what’s known in the industry as the “identification package”. The fact that we are updating ours now is completely normal. Just like any producer we came across two conflicting requirements: the need to create something new while remaining recognizable”.

The color scheme of the channel has been expanded to include all the colors of the rainbow. This further symbolizes that CTC will use even more methods and formats to entertain its audience. The updated logo will still be 3D and predominantly yellow to remain recognizable.

The experience of CTC Media, which successfully launched the Peretz channel one year ago, was used when developing the new style. The new CTC logo was drafted in Russia and British company BDA Creative brought the final version into fruition.
