Baltic Data Center Paves Ways to New Foreign Markets
OREANDA-NEWS. September 19, 2012. Baltic Data Center, a leader in the management of data centers and information systems in the Baltic States, is increasing its competitiveness abroad and in Lithuania – the company has received a confirmation that its service management system meets all the latest requirements of the ISO/IEC 20000 standard.
The certificate of compliance with the standard is obligatory for all companies willing to take part in the service provision tenders of most foreign governmental institutions, for example, those invited by the Government of Great Britain.
Companies implementing the most recent version of the ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 standard for service quality must comply with one and a half times more requirements than there were in its year 2005 version – previously there were 170, and now – 256 requirements. Inspecta Certification, an international inspection and certification company, has confirmed that the services provided by Baltic Data Center meet these requirements.
According to Aleksandras Samuchovas, Director of Baltic Data Center, the certificate proves that the company provides international-level services, creates value for customers and is focused on continuous improvement of the services it provides.
"The certified service management system controls processes from customer needs analysis, development of services and their efficient provision through to business relationship management, decision-making and control. This enhances the company’s efficiency and competitiveness", - A. Samuchovas says.
Having been awarded this certificate, the company will also gain advantage in service provision tenders in Lithuania. At present, there are 699 service companies in the world holding the ISO 20000 certificate.
