OREANDA-NEWS.  September 19, 2012. In August of this year the amount claimed for transport of goods reduced - Ukrainian Railways transported 39.697 million tons, it down to 2% compared with last year. In particular, in August increased traffic volumes in the import and export traffic, respectively, 5.4% and 15.5%. Reduced the number of claimed for transport of goods in the domestic and transit - by 6.3% and 31%.

In the structure of transportation the first place is for coal - 10.57 million tons, the second - iron ore and manganese - 7.4 million tons, and the third - mineral building materials - 7.362 million tones, the fourth chemical and mineral fertilizers - 1.151 million tons, and coke - 1.021 million tons.

The decrease was the volume of oil and oil products, ferrous metals, machinery, cement, salt. Increase the volume of coal, automobiles, grain and grain cargoes, ferrous metals, mineral building materials.
