OREANDA-NEWS. September 19, 2012. Sviaz-Bank keeps on expanding its own network of automated teller machines (ATMs) and payment terminals in Russia and Moscow, the number of both climbing up steadily, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank. 

According to the RBC.Rating agency’s updated rankings as of July 1, 2012, Sviaz-Bank placed 24th in the total number of its own transaction and payment terminals in Russia and 31st among banking leaders in the Moscow market and the total number of ATMs in the country.

Today, Sviaz-Bank has 458 ATMs in Russia and 124 transaction and payment terminals, a growth of around 7% and 55%, respectively, over the year.

The memorandum to the survey says that an overwhelming majority of survey participants are registering growth, quite significant by some of them, in the number of ATMs.

“The number of plastics issued by the Bank goes on rising, and so does the network to handle them,” said Maria Zenina, Director, Sviaz-Bank’s Retail Banking Products Department. “The Bank plans to build up its card business in 2012 and 2013.”

Sviaz-Bank has the Principal Member status in the VISA and MasterCard international payment systems. It also is a member of the VISA International Service Association and the Association of Europay Russian Members.
