OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2012. ITOCHU Corporation (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Masahiro Okafuji, President & CEO; hereinafter “ITOCHU”) and Dole Food Company, Inc. (headquartered in Westlake Village, California, USA; hereinafter “Dole”) have agreed and signed a definitive agreement for ITOCHU’s acquisition of Dole’s worldwide packaged foods and Asia fresh produce businesses for USD 1.685 billion.

ITOCHU will disclose further information relating to this transaction after the completion of the required procedures.
