OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2012. National Commission, which performs state regulation in the energy sector, reports that for additional protection of socially vulnerable populations the Commission decided during the heating season to increase monthly electricity consumption to the level of 3600 kWh.

This refers to the population living in homes (including dormitories and hotel type) equipped with the established order with electro installations (or electro installations and kitchen electric), including in rural areas, and the population living in apartment buildings that are not gasified with natural gas and which are without district heating system.

It should be noted that the payment of electricity consumption up to 3600 kWh per month by mentioned categories of consumers is still carried out at the rate of 21.54 kopecks per 1 kWh. In addition, for many children, foster families and family-type orphanages rate also remains 21.54 kopecks per 1 kWh regardless of consumption.

Thus the Commission has decided to extend during the heating period of the lowest electricity tariff for specified groups of consumers by consumption to 3600 kWh per month, which was used so far only amounts to 1,800 kWh per month.
