NTRC of Uzbekistan Takes Part in Presentation in Seoul
OREANDA-NEWS. September 18, 2012. In Seoul at the International Broadcasting Exhibition BCWW-2012 (Broadcast Worldwide) a presentation of the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan have held. At the presentation broadcasting and telecommunication organizations in Asia, Africa and the Pacific were introduced to the development of electronic media in Uzbekistan since independence and activity of NTRC of Uzbekistan, reported the press-centre of NTRC of Uzbekistan.
During the event, it was noted that in the republic today the total number of registered media of 1254 names. Of these, 706 - newspapers, 255 - magazines, 16 - messengers bulletins, 4 - news agencies, 64 – TV, 36 – Radio, 173 - web sites. Periodic materials and mass media, television and radio programs are offered not only in the national language, but also in the other languages of the world.
Participants of the presentation were provided information about the development of broadcasting in the country, including the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan. In particular, it was noted that due to the years of independence realized investment projects organized distribution network of satellite TV programs in Asia, Europe and North Africa, as well as on-line broadcast on the Internet in real time.
Today, four television channels of National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan broadcast around the clock in Uzbekistan. While two state television channels have hundred percent coverage of the territory of republic. Since 2006, the channel "Uzbekistan" and channel "Yoshlar" of NTRC of Uzbekistan on-line broadcast on the Internet.
Since 2011 launched the channel "UzHD" in format HD (High-definition), which is the first terrestrial HD channel in the CIS and Central Asia.
NTRC of Uzbekistan has a well-established creative and technical-organizational relationships with the largest television companies in the world. Since 2004, the company is a full member of ABU - the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union.
During the presentation, representatives of foreign broadcasting and telecommunication organizations looked through the documentary "Culture, customs and traditions of Uzbekistan" produced by NTRC of Uzbekistan.
