OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2012. As a part of its endeavours to improve the quality of life of the communities living in and around its area of operations, Tata Power's Tiruldih project team organised a two-day free health camp for the village community at Chaura village of Saraikela district. The focus was villagers as well as students of middle school (class VI to VIII).
During this health camp, Dr AK Singh, a senior physician from Dhanbad, was responsible for diagnosing and prescribing medicines for general ailments. Apart from general illnesses, the beneficiaries were treated for viral fever, common cold, gastritis, worm infection, bronchial asthma, etc. Tata Power employees volunteered to make the camp a success.
Commenting on this initiative, Dinbandhu Santra, head, projects, Tiruldih, said, "We are committed to taking care of our communities through such health care initiatives around the region. It is our endeavour to improve the quality of life of our communities through such health camps and it is greatly satisfying to drive such initiatives.”
