OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2012. ICBC Beijing Branch has included two more foreign currencies (Thai baht, Philippine peso) in its foreign exchange currency services. The new service aims to better serve the customers who have an increasing need to exchange foreign currencies. Individual customers can go to any of the designated 50+ outlets under ICBC Beijing Branch to exchange between RMB and Thai baht/Philippine peso (in cash), within the annual total amount of foreign exchange allowed, reported the press-centre of ICBC. 

Today, more Chinese are going abroad for study, business or travel. Traveling overseas for sightseeing, shopping is the first choice of Chinese folks to spend the holiday. So far, ICBC offers foreign currency exchange services to all individual customers to cope with the surging market demand. ICBC maintains 19 foreign currencies in stock which include US dollar, Euro dollar, HK dollar, as well as currencies of neighboring countries (Korean won, Malaysian ringgit, Thai baht, Philippine peso). Besides at the counter, ICBC foreign currency exchange services are also available in Internet Banking, Mobile Banking for customers. To customers, exchanging foreign currency online not only saves time, but also enjoys the discount offered by ICBC.

Right now is the peak season for Chinese to travel abroad for sightseeing or vocation. First of all, they need to exchange foreign currency. In August, ICBC Beijing Branch launched a promotion. Personal customers will receive free gifts when they exchange between RMB and foreign currency at ICBC counter or online to a certain amount.
