Member of Eurasian Economic Commission Took Part in FAS Session
OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2012. “Competition and antimonopoly regulation is one of the most important goals of the Eurasian Economic Commission”, stated Nurlan Aldabergenov, a member of the Collegium – the Minister for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, at a session of the FAS Collegium that took place in a new FAS Training Centre opened in Kazan, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
Nurlan Aldabergenov emphasized that unifying tariff-setting methodologies will help reducing the tariffs, ensure their transparency and openness and give equal opportunities in procurement to all potential suppliers.
He pointed out that “whether they are in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russia Federation and the Republic of Belarus - everywhere entrepreneurs will be able to take part in tenders”.
The Minister for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission also discussed importance of developing a unified competition policy within the Common Economic Space that should be in the three main areas: antimonopoly regulation, price regulation, and municipal procurement. As the priorities in antimonopoly regulation, the Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission emphasized harmonization of the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on competition policy, adopting normative legal acts of the Common Economic Space, devising the Model Law on competition and passing the Competition Code of the Common Economic Space.
“The Model Law will be recommendatory; it will be signed by the Heads of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia at the end of 2013”, stated Nurlan Aldabergenov. “In this connection, we plan to organize events, one of which we would like to have in the FAS Training Centre”.
