OREANDA-NEWS. September 17, 2012. Ukrainian farmers will feel easier to buy agricultural machinery. Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine will develop a comprehensive program for the development of agricultural engineering with the opportunity of agrarian producers to purchase the necessary equipment and will also offer loans for the purchase of agricultural machinery. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.

"On September 11 in Dnepropetrovsk at the meeting chaired by the President the issue of agricultural engineering was raised. Our challenge is to update combine harvesters and heavy tractors to increase the efficiency of the local farmers, reduce the cost of production and maintenance of the amount of harvest. Therefore, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food will develop a comprehensive program for the development of agricultural engineering with the opportunity of agrarian producers to purchase the necessary equipment"- Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said.

The Minister recalled that the state continues to take consistent steps to help small-scale producers to purchase the necessary farm machinery and do not spend a lot of money at once. In particular, it is activated agroleasing work. It is planned to provide compensation for loans for the purchase of agricultural machinery.

Also Mykola Prysyazhnyuk recalled that the State conducts information campaigns for small-scale producers in selecting the best agricultural machinery.

"Today, individual farmers, which in general have in the cultivating of more than 3 million hectares, it is difficult to get information on the latest technology and features. So our department together with suppliers of agricultural machinery published a special catalogue that has been distributed to rural and village councils. So, every small commodity producer can obtain the necessary information to select the best farm machinery"- Mykola Prysyazhnyuk noted.
