IDGC of North-West Discussed Issues of Karelia Power Industry
OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2012. During his visit to Petrozavodsk, General Director of IDGC of the North-West Sergey Titov met First Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia for Economic Policy Oleg Gromov.
During his visit to Petrozavodsk, General Director of IDGC of the North-West Sergey Titov met First Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia for Economic Policy Oleg Gromov. The meeting was participated in by Karelenergo Director Yefim Ashkinezer and Chairman of the State Committee for the Housing and Utility Sector and Power Industry of the Republic of Karelia Oleg Telnov. In the course of the meeting Sergey Titov communicated the news of creation of a united national energy system based on unification of Federal Grid Company and IDGC Holding. Oleg Gromov and Sergey Titov discussed the prospects of the republic’s power industry development highlighted in the Scheme and Program approved by the Government of the Republic of Karelia. Envisaged is development of grid facilities of all voltage classes.
The issue of acceleration of transmission line forest corridors expansion was discussed separately. The topic is extremely critical for 110–35 kV lines. Currently, some leaseholders of forest sites within Karelenergo responsibility territory, after agreement with the Ministry of Nature Management and Environment and introduction of amendments required to forest development plans, are already busy expanding forest corridors to standard width. Oleg Gromov communicated that Karelenergo can rely on the Government for any support in this issue as may be required.
