OREANDA-NEWS.  September 14, 2012. The price of bread will not be growing as Ukraine has sufficiently food grains. Also to keep the price of flour, the Agricultural Fund has currently launched its intervention. The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhyuk told about that.

"This year, we've harvested a total of 14.5 million tonnes of wheat, 80% of which is food one. Besides, we still have over stocks of wheat. Therefore, we don't have the deficit of food grains. However, demand for wheat is increasing in the foreign market, thus we're seeing an increase in purchase prices. Therefore, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food launches to apply preventive tools to avoid rising bread prices for Ukrainian consumers," Mykola Prysyazhyuk said.

The Minister stressed that the important step is to ensure the balance of the price on the domestic market through intervention flour from the Agrarian Fund's reserves.
