OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2012. The Port of Kaliningrad will be able to handle in 2020 about 30 million tons a year, President of the Stevedoring companies Association of Kaliningrad port Vladimir Kozyrev said.

Speaking to PortNews correspondent on the sidelines of the 4th Baltic Transport Forum IV Kozyrev said that the potential of Kaliningrad is 17-19 million tons a year, and throughput at Baltiysk-based ports – at least 7 5 million tons a year. The Baltiysk facilities could specialize in transshipment of transit container and Ro-Ro cargo. But it laragely depends on the tariff policy of the railways authorities.
