OREANDA-NEWS. September 13, 2012. Deputy Head of FAS, Andrey Tsyganov, held negotiations with the First Vice-Chairman of the Office for the Protection of Competition of the Czech Republic, Hynek Brom, at an international event – “Competition Day in Russia” organized by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) in Kazan, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The parties discussed the latest changes in the work of the competition authorities of Russia and the Czech Republic, emphasizing long-standing Russian – Czech cooperation aimed at creating favourable environment for developing competition and consumer rights protection.

The parties also informed each other about the latest changes in competition law and outlines prospective developments in cooperation between the two agencies.

Andrey Tsyganov invited representatives of the Czech Office to take part in an annual expert training organized by FAS for foreign competition authorities, that are давними and reliable partners of the Antimonopoly Service in the field of competition, in December 2012 г. In his turn, Hynek Brom stated that the Office for the Protection of Competition of the Czech Republic organizes an annual competition conference and invited FAS representatives to take part in the event.

Finally, the parties emphasized that the 20-year period of cooperation between Russian and Czech competition authorities was very effective and productive.

Joint participation in working groups can service as a good support for strengthening already established business relations between competition authorities.
