OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2012. This will be stipulated by the second amendment to the Moldovan-American Intergovernmental agreement for bossing Moldova’s economy, dated on July, 6, 2012. Cabinet Ministers approved the draft document and approved the opening of the talks on it at their sitting.

As Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca noted, extending Moldova an additional, the third, grant at a sum of USD 6.15 mln. will increase a total amount of the US’s aid to Moldova to further a growth of the national economy from USD 20.46 mln. to USD 26.61 mln. The additional grant, just as the first and the second ones, are to be used by authorities of Moldova to support the private sector, render assistance to enterprises so that to have their presence expanded in the domestic and international market and cutting-edge technologies and modern marketing policies adopted.

The backing will further implementation of the plan of action of the Moldova government, stipulating better business conditions, export promotion, completion growth and economic activity encouragement. As it was said earlier, the first and the second US grants to boost Moldova’s economy made up USD 10.12 mln. and USD 10.34 mln. respectively.

The US backing will be used to implement programs aimed at consolidating competitiveness of the private sector in Moldova: Business environment, economic opportunities and capacity of the private sector, efficiency of micro, small and medium-sized businesses.
