OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2012. Deputy of Saxon Landtag Sebastian Gemkov finished his visit to Omsk region. Member of fraction of Christian-Democratic Union of Germany visited all enterprises and construction sites of the project “PARK: Industrial-Agricultural Regional Clusters”, reported the press-centre of Titan. 

The aim of Sebastian Gemkov’s working visit was preparation of a visit of a delegation of politicians, scientists and businessmen from Saxony to Omsk region. The visit will take place in September 2012 within the framework of development of innovative and economic cooperation between Russia and Germany.

Representative of Saxony’s parliament  who is responsible for international and cultural ties spent several days in our city. He visited enterprises and construction sites of the project PARK, met the Minister of Economy of Omsk region Alexander Trippel and the head of the federal project “PARK” Mikhail Sutyaginsky. 

The parties discussed the plan of the forthcoming visit of Saxony’s delegation and agreed that political power can promote creation in Omsk region of a special economic zone functioning in the mode of the most-favored investment advantage.

At the results of the negotiations the major areas of cooperation were defined: creation of joint enterprises and representative offices of German companies in Russia, import of German technologies and equipment, export of production of agroindustrial, silicon, petro- and gasochemical and biotechnological complexes. 

Let us mention that the idea of cooperation of the two regions, originating from Mikhail Sutyaginsky, was met with understanding both in Russia and in Germany. Beginning of the cooperation project, within framework of which it is planned to conclude mutually beneficial agreement оn trade and economic, scientific and cultural cooperation of Saxony and Omsk region, was visit of the head of the project “PARK” to Germany in late July 2012. The next step of realization of cooperative strategy will be working visit to Omsk: the delegation will familiarize itself with the project “PARK”, new advanced enterprises of petrochemical and agroindustrial complexes, abilities and needs of Omsk region.
