OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2012. The application period began for scholarships from the patrons of the University of Latvia (LU) Foundation for the study year 2012/2013. The SORAINEN Latvian office, as a long-standing sponsor of the LU, continues the tradition started in 2010 and gives an opportunity for a law student to receive a scholarship for one academic year. For the first time, the scholarship was granted in 2011/2012, reported the press-centre of SORAINEN. 

The purpose of the SORAINEN scholarship is to support students at the LU Faculty of Law, to increase interest in research work in the chosen field of study and for public activities. We invite BA students (except first years) and MA students at the LU Faculty of Law to apply. The SORAINEN scholarship is LVL 1,800 for one academic year.

To participate in the scholarship competition, applicants must complete the electronic questionnaire, in Latvian, at the home page www.fonds.lv by 1 October 2012.
