CPC Wins in Two Nominations of BG Energy Challenge 2012
OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2012. CPC employees have returned after a competition held in the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of a BG sports and charity project - BG Energy Challenge 2012 - Kazakhstan. A two-day intense contest resulted in a win in as many as two nominations. CPC Power, an all-men team, was the winner in the 200+ nomination - average age of the team members is over 40, while an all-ladies team, CPC Energy, was the best in the Best Networking Team nomination - a model of mutual aid and support.
All in all, 30 teams representing companies of the Kazakhstan fuel & energy industry participated in the event, including BG Kazakhstan, Kazmunaygas, Karachaganak Petroleum Operating, Total and others.
This year the event was set in the Kokshetau National Park. The participants competed in a multi-kilometer run, cross-country mountain-bike race, compass and GPS-aided orienteering in the woods at night. By the level of difficulty it turned out a truly athletic competition. Also, the program included dexterity and gumption assignments: construction, using improvised materials, of "oil production platforms" and their subsequent installation onto lake surface, organization of oil "production" and "sale" of oil etc.
All funds raised have been donated to the Astana Handicapped Children Association for the purpose of support and social adaptation of handicapped children of Astana, Atyrau, Aktau and Uralsk.
CPC Pipeline System is one of the major investment energy projects with foreign participation in the CIS. The pipeline that transports crude oil from the oil fields of Western Kazakhstan to the Marine Terminal in Novorossiysk is 1,511 km long. CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with single-point moorings, which enable safe loading of tankers at a considerable distance from the shore, including in adverse weather conditions.

N.V. - 2% and Oryx Caspian Pipeline LLC - 1.75%.
